It certainly is not too early in the card making world to be working on our Christmas cards. I have 24 done so far for our personal use.
The Operation Write Home fundraiser table at the Veterans Appreciation Milwaukee Admirals game will have sets of Christmas cards again this year. I did a trial with only a few sets last year, and they sold well. The set of six cards comes with six matching envelopes in a nice lil plastic box.
They are nice for personal use or as a teacher gift.
This card uses Stampin’Up’s Serene Snowflakes. The inside greeting is Stampin’Up! stamp set Christmas Greeting. Card stock is Papertrey White, and from Stampin’ Up! Pacific Point and Bashful Blue as well as matching ink. The ribbon is from Michaels. I used the Notched Corner punch on the top layer snowflake piece.
I think you can see better in this picture that the top snowflake piece is covered in glitter. I stamped the snowflake using Pacific Point ink. Then I covered the entire piece with Versamark ink. Then I used Stampin’ Up! Iridescent Ice embossing powder and heated that with the heat tool. The embossing powder contains the ultrafine glitter. You WILL have glitter all over your work area. 🙂 It is ultrafine so it floats, flies, sticks to everything. If you make cards for Operation Write Home like we do, be sure to really super duper clean your area so no glitter is present.
Thank you for stopping by. Consider stopping by our table if you can make it to the game! 🙂
