This recipe is from my dear friend Sandy Alonzo. It is one of those desserts that can be changed up just by changing the flavor of pudding you use. Chocolate and banana seem to be my go to flavors.
1 cup flour
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 stick butter, softened
Optional: 1/2 cup chppped nuts
Mix these ingredients together. Press into bottom of a 9×13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
8 oz cream cheese softened
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1/2 large container Cool Whip
Mix together and spread over first layer.
Beat 2 large packages of instant pudding (any flavor) with 2 1/2 cups cold milk. Spread over second layer. (The pudding is very thick.)
Spread remaining half of Cool Whip over third layer. Sprinkle with chopped nuts or shredded chocolate. Refrigerate. Serve chilled.
