Today we had to take a road trip up to Menomonee Falls to meet up with a friend of mine. It is about the halfway point for us. It was a rare down day for us (after a very successful weekend of campaign work), so we decided to play some Ingress while we were there. One of the many objectives of this GPS phone game is to visit uniques places.
We decided that since there are quite a few spots in Mill Pond Park and Lime Kiln Park, that would be fun. We met my friend, and then we were off…to Main Street in Menomonee Falls!
What beautiful parks! The Menomonee River runs through both parks. I am kind of kicking myself for not getting pictures of the lime kilns because they are pretty awesome.
So pretty and peaceful! This was taken on the Lime Kiln Park side. There is also a pretty waterfall/dam right off of Main Street.
I would compliment whoever cares for the restroom in Mill Pond Park. It was very clean and well supplied. There is also a nice pavilion, plenty of benches, picnic tables, and even a gazebo! The grass was cut nicely (something sometimes lacking in parks here near home). I would definitely recommend these parks for just a nice walk (nice paved path), a picnic, and definitely some Ingress playing!
I hope you had a great 4th of July.
Thank you for stopping by!
