I have always loved the Stampin’ Up set Terrific Tulips. My favorite technique to use with this set is Rock n Roll.

Choose two complimentary colors. For this card I chose Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. Ink up your stamp with the lighter color first (in this case the Daffodil Delight). Then you just roll the outer  edges of the stamp on the darker color (in this case Pumpkin Pie). Stamp your image. The most important step if making multiple cards of multiple images of the same stamp is to CLEAN YOUR STAMP every  time.

This is a Two  Step Stampin set. You could take this a step further in one or two ways using another technique called stamping off. You would ink up the image the matches the bolder image with the darker ink. You could stamp it “full strength” right over your first image. Another option is to ink it  up with the darker ink, stamp it onto a scrap paper  (stamp off) and then stamp it onto your original image. The stamped off option would be a softer color. Try the whole process on scrap paper if you prefer just to see how you like it. Again, clean the stamp every time you stamp it.

You can see on the tulip on the right that more of the stamp was rolled on the darker ink pad. The middle tulip was barely rolled. Neither is wrong. Have fun with it. 🙂
